I would like to banish a common myth: everyone needs to be involved in social media. Yes, social media is a huge boon for the right company and can help immeasurably with interaction of audience and increased website presence. But social media does take work (and hence money) and it has to be worth the effort.
It is important to have a campaign strategy. Too many people set up an account, add a few friends, and then leave it at that. The truth is, certain sites lend themselves better than others to social media. E-commerce sites are a good example. You can post photos of new products, announce sales amd build your userbase, all of which helps drive people to your site..
If on the other hand, you are a small services company, say a plumber, the importance of social media is not of the same magnitude. Yes, you could announce discounts and post completed jobs, but this isn't a subject that is going to excite the majority of users, and you may find it's more trouble than its worth.
I am happy to discuss your social media strategy and see what's right for you. A well executed plan in the right field can boom your business.
